At OMEC Motors NV we are proud to share the successful acceptance testing and delivery of 4 𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗖-𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝗮𝗽𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘃𝗮𝗹 𝗯𝘆 𝗕𝘂𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘂 𝗩𝗲𝗿𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘀 (𝗕𝗩):
🔹 2 units of each 190 kW
🔹 2 units of each 230 kW
What made this project particularly challenging was the extremely tight timeline. The motors were urgently required for a vessel project where delivery time was critical to keeping the overall schedule on track.
In order to meet this demand we upgraded our in stock available 𝗢𝗠𝗘𝗖-𝗠𝗼𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘀 for marine application requirements and prepared for acceptance testing in close cooperation with our trusted partner Bakker Repair + Services.
The motors will be used to drive anti-heeling pump systems, an essential component for maintaining vessel stability and balance during loading, unloading and other operational conditions. In such applications, reliability and availability are crucial, making the rapid execution of this project even more important.
The acceptance testing was successfully carried out together with 𝗕𝗩, ensuring that all requirements were met before delivery.
According to our colleague Marcus Bluemner, the project demonstrates the value of responsiveness in today’s maritime industry:

During the acceptance process, our colleagues Joep de Jong (not on the picture) and Daniel Lotter were on site, supporting the testing activities and exchanging valuable technical insights with the BV surveyor.
These interactions not only contributed to a smooth acceptance process but also strengthened the collaboration for future projects.
We are also pleased to share that additional follow-up orders for identical motor types have already been placed. These motors will be supplied on a later stage and being produced on customers need in our factory.
