Navalia 2026 – Review of Vigo’s Marine-Exhibition
OMEC Motors looks back on a highly successful participation at Navalia 2026 in Vigo, one of the leading maritime exhibitions in Southern Europe for the shipbuilding and marine industry.
Over the course of the exhibition, our team had the opportunity to meet a wide range of shipbuilders, OEMs, system integrators, repair companies, distributors,+ and maritime professionals from across Europe and beyond. The exhibition once again demonstrated the strong momentum within the maritime market and the increasing demand for reliable, flexible and energy-efficient drive solutions.
A special highlight of this year’s participation was our joint appearance together with our valued partner Roydisa. The cooperation between both companies created an excellent platform to combine expertise, strengthen market presence and present complementary solutions for maritime applications.
Throughout the event, visitors showed strong interest in OMEC Motors’ growing portfolio for the marine sector, including:
- Asynchronous motors for various marine applications, such as Hydraulic-Power-Packs, Pumps, Fans, Compressors etc.
- Permanent Magnet (PM) motor technology
- Solutions for propulsion and thruster systems
- Shaft generator solutions
- Customer-specific motor modifications and engineered solutions
In particular, discussions around compact high-performance PM motor technology and flexible customized solutions reflected the ongoing transformation within the maritime industry toward greater efficiency, optimization of available installation space, and operational reliability.
Beyond the technical discussions and product presentations, Navalia also provided an important opportunity to strengthen existing relationships and establish new international connections. Personal interaction remains a key factor in understanding customer requirements and developing long-term partnerships within the maritime sector.
The positive feedback received during the exhibition confirms that OMEC Motors is increasingly recognized as a flexible and responsive partner for maritime drive technology and industrial motor solutions.
